Belvada GelMoment At home Gel Nails GIVEAWAY

This week I have an exciting giveaway for you by Belvada. It is from their at home gel nails line called GelMoment. GelMoment is an innovative non-toxic gel nail product that has improved on the salon model in so many ways.

● Formaldahyde-free, it is completely non-toxic
● Absolutely no sulfates so it does not weaken the nail
● Uses natural, active ingredients that mimic gel nail products
● Requires no base coat or top coat, saving money in the long run
● Uses an LED light instead of the traditional UV light used at the salon eliminating the longterm dangers of UV rays
● Odorless

I've tried GelMoment for the past two and a half months and it is really great! Here are my thoughts and tips:

It takes a lot of practice to successfully apply the nail polish. First you give yourself an at-home manicure. Make sure you buff your nails really well. Do not apply a base coat. Wipe a small amount of a gel nail cleanser (which can be found at a beauty supply store... also Belvada will be making one available soon) on each nail. If you cannot find a gel nail cleanser, you can use rubbing alcohol. Apply a thin coat of the nail polish to one nail at a time. Avoid getting the polish on your cuticle or the polish will peel off easily. After you apply it to one nail, use the LED light to cure the nail for 30 to 45 seconds. I find it's best to cure one nail at a time. I tried painting my entire hand and then curing and it did not work, the gel nails 'drooped'. If you make any mistakes and your gel nails peel off it is really easy to just apply again and go.

Once you are ready to remove the gel nail polish (they can last up to 10 days when applied properly) soak a cotton ball in acetone nail polish remover and wrap around your finger securing with aluminum foil for 10 minutes. **I find the product a bit difficult to remove and also think applying acetone is not ideal. Belvada will be coming out with a non-acetone remover in the near future.

The gel nail polish shades range from neutral to dark reds. In the video I am wearing caramel tan, but I have also tried blushing bride (which is very similar to my favorite Essie Mademoiselle!). Check out their range of colors here.

Best of luck!
